Harley-Davidson is coming out with a modular helmet that shows how HD has embraced full-face helmets as opposed to retro ones that are not nearly as safe.

The Visionary modular helmet is still a bit retro styled, it definitely isn't as modern as helmets from other companies.

The helmet has a polycarbonate sheel, with a SilverCool antibacterial interior lining which is removable and washable. The helmet is DOT-approved and comes with a double-d ring fastening system and an internal sun shield which is said to block out 95% of the UV radiation.

The helmet is priced at $250, which I would say is pretty reasonable, and it weighs in at 3 lb 6 oz.

I bought a helmet last fall that has a shaded inner visor. I would never go back to one without it. I always hated jamming sunglasses inside my helmets, especially with the Snell approved helmet which was a little more snug than the DOTs I have had. It is nice to turn a knob to actuate the shaded shield, but still have the clear outer visor for night time.
The price doesn't seem too bad, considering it is branded by HD.
250 reasonable? depends who is making the helemet/the quality of it
That is an awesome helmet, would love to see what it looks like in black
HJC makes all the HD branded helmets, out of Korea.;)

Comes in about 7 different colors. It would be easy enough to add your own decals, and save some money, eh?
$179.00 from revzilla

I tried this on earlier in the shop, it was nice and comfortable. I'll definitely be buying it.
Doesn't seem nearly as impressive when you consider that a lot of the price is just paying for the Harley branding. The helmet is still awesome, but I agree with the other folks here that it may be more worth it to buy from the actual manufacturer instead of getting it from Harley and having to pay an extra premium.
That's a pretty agreeable statement. But one question I have is how does anyone know those aren't cheap Asian reproductions and are the actual manufacturer? I may have missed that but I don't remember seeing it.
Regardless, I wouldn't buy it if I didn't have Harley credit to cover it.

Harley Davidson Motor Co. doesn't make anything but motorcycles.
They don't make helmets, clothing, mugs, boots, jackets, belts, wallets, shot glasses, jewelry, key chains, hats, bar stools, signs, etc.

Everything you find with the MoCo brand name or logo, has been licensed to someone to produce.

HJC is licensed to put the HD brand on those helmets.
