Harley Davidson's sales for Q2 fell short of prediction, but there is still good news as the company posted an increase in net income. New income is 30.3% higher this year than last.

Worldwide dealers sold 90,218 Harleys in the second quarter of 2014. That is a minor uptick from the 90,193 units that were sold by the same period last year. Harley says that poor weather is partly to blame for the suppressed sales.

Over a larger time frame I expect numbers to look much better as when you look at a time frame like that, it's more fair to products like this that has external factors that impact sales and consumer engagement, at least when it comes to bikes for HD.
