So in the hope of captivating Generation Why Harley went and studded the tires of a few Street 750s and handed them over to the Winter X Games. I think its really cool because it hearkens back to Harleys time as king of the flat tracks...

side by side, 100 miles an hour ;)

Wasn't really expecting to see the HD Street 750 in these conditions. Glad to see it is going to be up for the cool Canadian climate (only if I get the studded tires?) Was this just a fun experiment? Was there a competition or were they showing off the HD Street around the games on top of this demonstration?
its just a way to expose the street to a younger audience who likely wont go seek it out on their own (if they even know about it)

the two riders are actually part of Harleys AMA flat track team, they usually race XR750s. They're actually contemplating including Ice Racing as a future X games event.

“Harley-Davidson has been pioneering action sports before they were even defined as action sports,” adds Bernacchi. “In fact, archive photos in the Harley-Davidson Museum show enthusiasts racing on frozen lakes almost a century ago, so it’s exciting to see us back racing on ice with a new generation of riders on the newest addition to the Dark Custom motorcycle lineup.”

About reaching out to people that might not have many ways of finding out about it. What are the chances they will make a superbowl commercial for it?
nice. dam i just posted this in the pictures thread too.

glad to see harley davidson promoting the Street.

Looks like the Street is capable of all sorts of riding.

Wonder how much these tires cost.

I'd love to give this a try during the winter time here.

Seems like an awesome way to feed the need to ride during the white months.
I'm still skeptical about riding this thing in winter. maybe with a side car i'll consider it :D

you can stud your own tires with screws. Its basically like flat tracking, I would be sweet to see ice racing go mainstream. You ever watch the rally events on ice :D:D

interesting. seems like a relatively cheap process

most expensive would be the actual tire.

I'll have that bookmarked. Must destroy the ground though. And I'd imagine I'd be falling over alot as it shows in the video haha.
