Blue, red, white would be a nice start IMO. HD sells other bikes in colors other than "any color as long as it's black". As soon as the "bad ass" crowd has bought one, then what...

I'm coming at this from the "outside" as I have never owned a Harley. Which IMO is the buyer Harley should be going after.

Black is always nice but I would be really interested to see the HD street come out in red. Just something about that color would help bring out the contour and lines on the bike.

We can always hope...:D To me, black on black on black just looks "unfinished", kind of like someone rattle canned primer on something and ran out of money.

Harley is advertising it as a "Dark Custom". What colors other than black lend themselves to that?
That brings up a point I've been trying to make as far as the demographic segment HD is attempting to sell the Street to. Why does it have to be a "dark" anything? The Street is never going to sell to the old guard HD rider, in fact I'm sure they will shun and ridicule them AND anyone who rides one. If HD is really serious about broadening it's customer base they need to drop the old HD image of black this and black that. IMO it is HD's single minded, tunnel vision view of ALOT of potential new to HD motorcycle buyers/riders that could possibly doom the Street's appeal.

Just my .02 worth. BTW, I'd like a red one.:D

I know what you mean. it just depends on what the suits at the hd headquarters want as "their" brand image.
