Has anyone tried the cone shaped K&N Air Cleaner on their 750? I was wondering if there was a pre-loaded map on the FP3. Or if anyone had thoughts on it as an alternative to the V02. I was also curious about the Arlen Ness Big Air Sucker Stage 1 (because I could keep my stock cover).

I have the K&N Drop In. That filter you have sticks way out too far for me. And sometimes I ride in the rain. There is an Option for High Velocity Intake. I am using the Standard Intake, V&H SO with standard baffle. Runs fine. As per V&H recommendation.

and i don't think bigger is better as theres only one size hole on intake and u could put huge ass air filter on and it will only suck what it can suck... unless u have a forced air system

Hi. Even I'm considering the arlen ness air intake. The stock cover means that it won't look any different from outside which is really good. Any reviews on that yet? The official description talks about a 21% increase in power.

This Air Cleaner is Great !!

The original air cleaner hits the inside of my upper calf just below the knee (front controls on bike). The blue arrow shows the inside edge of my knee several inches from the tank, which really makes my knee ache. It doesn't like to bend that direction.

With the K&N 63-1130 filter my knee can hug the tank and doesn't get shoved out to the side. And if you look close you can tell the brake peg is in the middle of my foot now with the K&N filter rather than off-center.

K&N has it on their website for $170, down from $299. I tried to order it from local HD dealer, but the best they would do was $240. They understood why I ordered from the manufacturer. Shipping was 3 days.

They claim 6.66 hp increase, actually guarantee it if you want to get a dyno test before and after. I'm not about the power and so can't say for sure, but there is definitely a deeper rumble when accelerating in higher rpm. I am also not about loud bikes, (I still have the original muffler), but I am appreciating the fun of adding a little rumble.

Installation was easy. Remove breather hose, then 5 bolts/nuts, then reattach breather hose and two bolts for the mandrel. They even included loctite.

Bottom line--I felt compelled to get it, so my knee wouldn't hurt while riding with my front controls, and now am so glad I did this. If I still had mid controls, I think I would still love this air cleaner for $170. (not sure about $300)

I like the way it opens up the view of the middle of the bike.

Thanks for posting a picture! I literally had the K&N on the screen as I have been debating on buying it today! Did you get a rain sock as well?

I did not buy a rain sock for it. Seems like there are mixed thoughts on it. But I do tend to get caught in the rain. Something to think about and ask my consultants.

I got mine back from the dealer last week. They fixed a leaky Valve Cover Gasket, Rear Cylinder. Havent been able to ride much due to rain. Last time I took it out, It sounded different. Everytime I shifted, I heard a noise. Kind of like a blow off on a turbo when shifting. And the Heat on the exhaust side, Maybe because its getting about 90F now?

I am currently running the HD K&N breather, a Speed Merchant slip-on with a Stage-1 re-flash. Question: If I swap out the HD K&N for the K&N 63-1130 will the Stage-1 re-flash be adequate? Critter
