Are any of you like me looking in to getting some saddle bags to go along with the HD Street?

Haven't seen anything come up yet as its still early but would like to see weather you guys like the leather bags or some hard cases. What is your taste?

Not big on the saddles, but they've got to be leather with a Harley. I'm most interested in a bikini for mine...
I would steer clear of a bikini. I think that those are a crime. But I would consider leather saddlebags. I wouldn't buy them right away though. I need a reason, like a road trip or something.

i want to find a cool exhaust setup for the Street 500. Something loud, and maybe high set.
I'm sure once the accessories list comes up there will be TONS of bags.
No doubt for most us will be going with the leather saddles. ;)

it's only natural for a harley rider to do that :D

if not either there's too much sport bike blood in them or they're just different
Yeah for sure the style is already set out leather just goes along well with harleys liek honey on biscuits.

I have seen other types of materials other than leather and it does look off.

When I first saw the Indian spy shots, the running prototypes had saree (sari ?) guards on the side for Indian women's dresses, but the same part is used as a saddlebag-guard on the larger Harleys. So I would bet that soft saddlebags are high on the list of future accessories!
I like the Tourmaster bags. Good price, rugged, zipper off.

I guess if someone has a harley with matte paint, some type of fabric will look okay, but if it's a glossy black, leather bags are a must.
Weather-proof hard cases with LED brake and turn signals.

A guy can dream, right?
I'd prob get leather bags. I think it matches the Street better :)

hmmmm... do you mean something like this?

Givi makes a hardcase like this one I believe but not sure how it would go along with the HD.

Givi makes a quality product, true. For most bikes they would be the first place I'd look if there is nothing suitable OEM.
But I don't see anything in their catalog that visually fits the Streets.
Aftermarket parts for American V twins is a whole new world to me though.
I'm sure once the parts and accessories catalog is available for the street we will have plenty of options.

we will, apparently the street 500 and street 750 will have A LOT of parts, probably way more than what our wallets can handle. That what i heard a buddy of mine say.

Yeah I agree, they have some intersting boxes even ones with integrated signals. Superb quality, almost on par with oem if not better.
nice thing about leather is it ages very nicely in the sun.

nice patina.
Leather? Why? This isn't an old fashioned airhead aimed at the bandanahead market. V-Rods have decent quality cordura saddlebags with plastic inner panels and floors on quick detatch mounts. Look at the Sport Saddlebags or the VRSCF specific luggage.

For aftermarket hard cases, my choice would be Hepco and Becker Junior saddlebags. H and B are the successors to Krauser and make outstanding motorcycle hard cases and top cases. The cases used on the Buell Ulysses are Hepco and Becker, but the big 40 liter cases, not the Junior cases.

Here is an example of what I am talking about on a Guzzi:
