Hello from Brooklyn. Just purchased a Street 750 from LIC HD in Queens this past weekend. Spent a few years on 70's era UJMs, and love em, but wanted something that starts every time I hit the button and don't leave me stranded on a long ride out of the city, so pulled the trigger on the Harley. Never thought I'd be riding one, but something about this particular bike just seemed to call to me.

Exactly, HDGuy, these things will be as prevalent as Bonnevilles pretty soon. As far as work on the bike goes, I'm taking it on the East Coast Gypsy Run this weekend to break her in and decide what I like and don't like. Most obviously, the stock exhaust has to go. It sounds like a scooter. Probably going to throw a V/H slip on with the air cleaner on early next year. If they've got a FuelPak for the Street by then, I'll go with one, otherwise a Dyna.

Easy stuff though? New Renthal tracker bars, all new switch gear, braided lines, cutting a custom wire harness, all things that I can do over a weekend that won't make much of a performance difference, but will really help the aesthetics of the bike.

Does anyone know about the steering head and whether or not it's the same as any other bike in the stable? I'd like to see if it's possible to direct fit triple trees from something like the 48, allowing for an easy upgrade to the brakes and wheels.
