Welcome to the forum! Were they at least able to provide you with even a little bit of info?
That is actually a pretty sweet deal I have to add for the consumer and of course for them, mostly for them of course, easy way to convert people into buyers. They know that getting seat time really influences your buying decision.Since you don't have a license anyway, you could consider doing a riding program with Harley Davidson. You'd get to ride the 500 during the lessons, and at the end of the course they will give you a discount on buying one.

That's right, and being a newb, experience on just about anything is already worth it. At least it's a good reference point to when they test out other bikes and can have a better opinion of what they want. Thankfully it's a street.Yeha that would be a good opportunity for any new comers to take a ride and get a feel for the street 500. Whether you walk out with one or not at least you got a taste but you can take home what you learned...
that is the usual trend when it comes to both those markets getting the same thing, how far apart do you think the two will be?Im surprised your local hd dealer doesnt know anything about them yet. Canadiana will probably get it after we do by the looks of it.
