What's a quick guess at what it might cost for the alterations shown in the link at the bottom?

What's the expected cost of parts and labor if only to switch the fork and tires? I really like the fat front tire and m shaped handlebars.

I could be off, but I'd say a safe estimate would find the $3-$5k range for the "upgrade PARTS' alone (nice rims are an easy $1500-$2000 alone plus tires and such) - this assumes you are doing 75%-85% of the work yourself.

If NOT, then ADD to that price of parts all off the LABOR charges that will incur.

And THEN ADD any and all mods that included custom fabrication that the above parts did not cover.

Cost will also be affected by location, geography, relationship with workers, project manager, etc.

Suuuuuuuper expensive friend lol.

Enjoy

Best,

PS - I am pretty confident in my quote above, however: If it turns out that I am WAY OFF the mark here with my numbers then I ask you to please let me know so I get a better idea of this stuff. Thanks

You are probably pretty close. Hdwheels.com sells spoke wheels and they run about $2000, $300+ for tires, $200-300 for good clip-on handlebars, then whatever the cost of all new forks is. Then add in labor and any custom parts/brackets that need to be custom made. Then more cost if you want an accurate speedometer after all this.

An easy $5,000 could be spent on that conversion.

I'd go with this for parts alone and if you want someone else to do the work then it's going to cost even more because a lot of hours are involved. Figure it this way, We estimate the cost of making a complete custom chopper out of a Street 500/750 at between $15K-$25K labor not included and not including the cost of the motorcycle. Of course you could spend a lot more (like I am - LOL).

I love customizing motorcycles but there's one rule to remember - IT AIN'T CHEAP.
