Hey guys, I just bought a used Street 750 yesterday, it’s a 2016 with only 1,700 miles. Every time I start it it goes for a few seconds then dies, unless I give it a decent amount of throttle and keep it revved up a tad for about 10 seconds. Once I do that it stays running and idles fine. Anyone have an idea what could be wrong?

Get new spark-plugs and check your air filter - it may be dirty. I would also drain the fuel tank and put fresh fuel in it with some carburetor/fuel injector cleaner.

I had a similar problem when using certain Gasoline brands. Sunoco and Top Tier never gave me a problem. It only happened when Cold. I would use a little of Lucas FI Cleaner, And it would clear up.

Mine has done the same thing recently. Seems like a fuel issue as well. Just had the bike serviced too, and there seemed to be nothing else wrong with it. Gotta be bad gas. I'm throwing some Ethanol Guard in that **** next fill, hopefully prevent that problem a little longer.

Thanks for the help guys! I put in the highest grade gas and it seems to be doing a lot better. It starts right up without any problems. I guess the previous owner just had some bad gas in there. I also put in a small amount of additive in there at the same time.
