Now these are pretty boots. Something fashionably old school and functional, dressed down with denim would work lovely at the office on Fridays...

they've also got them unquilted, the original race boot...

as can be seen here with the one and only Giacomo Agostini...

and one Mister Barry Sheene...

I've often ridden to work and I always keep an extra pair of shoes there. I don't care what type of boot it is they were just never comfortable as a walking shoe. I can ride all day in boots but for walking they just don't work well IMHO. Then again I grew up going barefoot whenever possible and all shoes annoy me. LOL

I do like the zipper-back on the boot. I have a tall pair of Harley-Davidson boots (without a zipper) that I rarely use anymore because putting them on and taking them off is sort of a pain. These days I opt for a lighter pair of laced boots that are shorter but easier to get on and off.

As noted the No 177 boots shown are very, very expensive (£405 or $661 USD) but for those that are willing they are an investment as they would last for decades of riding with just a little care. Lewis Leather has been around forever and even used Lewis Leather boots can sell for $300 and more if they're in good condition. I've seen used No 178's, that are similar riding boot, sell for over $400! They really are that good of a boot.
