Always check your local laws and the laws of other places you may wish to ride before adding decorative lighting to your vehicles or deleting lighting and reflectors that came on your vehicle. Deleting the fork reflectors always seems popular, but is illegal in many jurisdictions.

Lighting issues are typically a primary offense for which a law enforcement officer can pull over your vehicle and issue you a citation. It also provides an opportunity to ticket you for secondary offenses, which are acts that can only be charged once a driver has already been lawfully stopped.

One site for checking neon under glow laws within the United States is neonlaws.com. I don't know how up to date they keep that site.

In Germany, this lighting is prohibited while driving and the police can shut down the vehicle. Greetings enRico

I made some lights for my street many moons ago. Using a key fob that I picked up online to cycle colors. Used to have some mounted under the frame that shined on the ground, but I took them off and coated the frame rails. I hop curbs and stunt quite often so I'm beating the underside of the frame frequently.
