Lowering the idle.

So I was curious if anyone has done it or might have input on this, but I have the fuel pack from V&H, and i'd like to drop the idle a bit on the bike. Currently idles somewhere around 1350RPMs. I know on some sports bike the the RPMS have to be at a certain level so the oil pump keeps pumping sufficiently, not sure if these little V-twins are the same. I'd like to drop it somewhere around 1000, just so it KINDA sounds like a real Harley you know?

Thanks in advance.

I think the bike sounds better, more refined than other Harleys (air cooled) but if you want it louder and deeper sounding just get an aftermarket slip on exhaust. Screaming eagle is what I went with but there are a few out there to choose from.
I'm content with the sound (pulled the baffling) I was wonder if anyone knew of adverse effects on dropping the idle 400-500RPMS. Want more of a chug sound at idle.
The idle speed is not adjustable on the Streets.

OP notes that he does have a V&H FP3, which will allow you to change the idle speed through through an entire range of engine temperatures. V&H notes in app that 900 rpm is the minimum speed to have adequate oil pressure.

My V&H CO Slip On, No Baffle, Hi-Flow filter shows an operating idle of 1504 up to 150 degrees F, then drops down to 1200 as the engine temp rises.

I thought you could do anything, with the proper programmer, a little knowledge and a laptop? ;)

Ahh I see thank you, mine drops about to the same although I might drop the idle a tad when its cold, seems if I don't let it idle long enough it idles really high when I ride. When I cut throttle to shift, its like I never let off the throttle at all, stays at a high RPM.
I use V&H Competition with baffle, Hi-Flow filter, and FP3. Sounds really fascinating.
I lowered to 1,000 at high temperature, but it was a bit too unstable.
Then I adjusted to 1,050. Idling makes a bit irregular but fairly stable beats.
No problem for 1 month ride.
The idle should be above 900rpm for oil flow anything lower might damage engine according to FP3 notification. Has anyone had a idle control issue with their street?

2017xg750a with V&H Comp & FP3 with K&N Air filter.

My Street 750 about 1550 - 1570 and down to 1320-1370 if i close the air filter box hole with my hand than it downs to 1200 - 1250.

I realy do not know what is the standart?
