Was just wondering what is the highest mileage anyone has so far done (total mileage) on a Street 750 or 500?

Had mine since August and have only clocked up 1327 miles so far due to health and cold weather but am hoping 2019 is a little kinder to me :)

It is probably not the highest milage, but I bought a street 750 in May 2018. When I took it in for the 5000 mile service in October, I traded it for a lowrider.

Somewhere in the older threads is a guy in India that did 1,000 miles or kilometres, I can't remember which, in one day and he had the receipts to prove the validity of the trip. At the time what stood out for me was the fact that the road system in India is not the same as roads in Europe and then there is congestion in the cities he passed through. Still a mileage feat in 24 hrs that takes some doing on a Street 750.

So called Iron butt 1,000 miles in 24 use to be hard. Roads we hard ,tire bikes . break downs , flats ect were common in the attempt . Today's bike just flat out run. better roads . 1,000 miles for person in good health is not that hard. Wife and I at our age still do 800 mile days with plenty of time to stop eat and have coffee. Different world we ride in. Now if you are in some other countries you maybe where we were 30 years or more ago different thing. How ever the bikes now are still far better for such adventures.
Dave Zein 1,000 miles a day for 30 days in a row on a 1990 HD FX not much for support

I have a 2016 XG750 and coming up to 14k miles. Have not had any problems (knock on wood) and did one tire change. I have been thinking of trading up but not sure if I”ll get a good price especially with all the mods done....and my ride is paid off which is a plus.

I also have a 2016 XG750 but with just over 10K miles and a tire change. No other problems to report.

From what I have seen, resale prices for these bikes are not good. I'm upside down after two years of loan payments. That's why I just decided to keep it as a second bike and ride it into the ground. It's inexpensive to run, and does well at what it can do if one works within the limitations of the mid-sized frame and engine. It's never going to be a real hot rod nor a full on touring bike, but it makes a great little starter bike, commuter bike, or micro-bagger for short trips.

I have a 2015 Street 500. Right at 3000 miles. My output shaft has broken twice and the bolt came off on another trip. It was in the shop for 6 weeks the first time. Second time with just the bolt about three or four hours. Third time it broke was March 27,2019. And it’s still in her shop!!! All three times it has broke down!! Left me standing on the side of the road. I’m a woman that rides alone a lot. I brought the bike used April 2, 2018. It had 801 miles. The dealership says it’s waiting for the output shaft. They “hopes” it’s shipped May 17, 2019 and the engine gasket May 20 something. The dealership nor the corporate office appear to care that it’s broke down three times or the fact that it’s been in the shop all together 12 weeks. And probably be there for another 3 or 4 weeks. It doesn’t fall under the VA Lemon Law because it was used. I paid for it in full. This is my first bike and I’m so disappointed in the bike, dealership and the corporate office. I’m drafting a letter now to both. Does anyone have any suggestions or has anyone had to deal with the output shaft breaking two or more times? Thanks
