I don't recall anybody on here saying they have worn out the engine or had to do a rebuild, but a few that have racked up 30k miles or more.

Let's say you double up on the air cleaner intake, meaning, a sub air cleaner, a pre entry of the Bike's air cleaner. The next would be using syn type oil, and changed sooner than every 3k miles on the oil, meaning, logging the services, oil change average is around 2,700 miles.

The killer of an engine is dirty air, dirty oil. And to stay on top of any pre-failures, you dissect the oil filter for debris, or metal contamination. If by pulling the pleats apart, and examine nothing but pleat, you're doing good, and on your way to longevity.
