Moving Up

Well I have been thinking about this for a while, and I decided to pull the trigger. I will be trading in my Street 750 for a new Street Bob. The Street was great to learn on, but I really wanted a bigger cruiser for long trips with my girlfriend. My local dealership was offering some great finance rates this weekend so I popped in and started the paperwork. I talked with the manager and he said the Streets seemed to have gone dead with sales in the state, most dealers already have had alot of people trading them in for bigger bikes with in a few months. They had about 10 streets at the dealer and he said he couldn't give them away.

"They had about 10 streets at the dealer and he said he couldn't give them away."

What is that going to do to your trade-in value? Would you be willing to share what you are getting for your trade? I'm curious in case I can't get the lag and leap issue resolved.
I will find out this evening when I go back to the dealership, they had to wait for Harley to approve me for financing. I'm hoping it won't be less than 6500
I posted this comment under another thread.

"After owning/riding a Soft Tail for 12 years, with its 21st Century counterbalanced engine, I would recommend bypassing anything rubber mounted, alone, especially without a 6th speed and a large bore engine. I ride a Street now because of the need for a more nimble and lighter ride due to lower extremity issues. My dealer has a plethora of pre-owned "Sportys", for sale, from those who traded-up."

While "Sportys" are cool looking, if you plan to go two-up for any distance please consider something bigger and more accommodating for such a use lest you find yourself, again, wanting to trade-up.

RIDE SAFE!
Yeah that is why I am going with the Street Bob, its perfectly sized for comfortable cruising and long hauls.
Street Bob-cool! My previous comment was meant for a different situation that I saw elsewhere.

ENJOY YOUR RIDE!
I'm also curious what they would offer you in value.
I was offered $6000 for a trade in on my bike. Im going to take it, they are selling used street 750's for $6800. I'm going to the dealer to sign all the papers and get my new street bob

How many miles are on your Street? Glad you got a fair price. Enjoy your new ride.
I had 2700 on my street. I ended up going with a 09 low rider, got a better deal on it, and it only had 2k on it.:)

I got 8K, with 3200 miles on the 750. The dealer was generous due to the inability to resolve the lag and leap issue. I am now riding a 2015 Sportster Custom. V&H Short Shots, filter and tune to be done this weekend.
