Hey all.
just making a thread on what i have done to my bike since i got it.
i am almost finished for now of what i want to do.
i will post some pictures of it later on when i take some.

i got my street 500 a little over a month ago and i absolutely love it.

didn't take me long to get to my first service.

i have made a few mods to it nothing to special but its the look i like :)
i have but HD mirrors on it, the are long stem chrome mirrors that have"live to ride, ride to live" on the back of them.
i think they really make the bike stand out.

the other mod i have done is the backrest.

i searched all over to find a cheaper one than the Gen HD one.
i purchased one from India as it was a bit cheaper.

waited two weeks to get it and was so excited to put it on.
only to find out that it did not fit. after trying numerous ways of trying to fit it i had to return it back to India and pay for return shipping of 100 AU dollars.(NOT HAPPY)

So i decided to purchase the HD one, and did not have an ounce of trouble with that. it looks so good and fitted on perfectly without an issue. The stealersship wanted to charge me 200 AU dollars to fit it.

i thought this was well overpriced and ridiculous for how easy it was to fit. took my father and i about 30 minutes to do so.

i also have a screaming eagle exhaust which i wish was a lot louder but oh well.

the only other mod for now that i want to do is Saddlebags for when the misses and i head on a road trip along the Great Ocean Road just before XMas.

i think the Viking warrior cutout bags look great on some of the streets i have seen on here. just hope i can fit them easily without to much hassle!

does anyone have any other suggestions on sorts of saddle bags they have on their bike i could use?
i would prefer ones that get mounted then just throw overs.

i will post pictures of my bike later on :)

thanks all for reading.

Hi,

I ordered the following Harley parts and it worked well for me serving two purposes ie backrest and as day bag.
1. Premier tail bag: 93300069A
2. Premier rider backrest pad: 93300010

Ganesh, did you mount that bag on the HD luggage rack? I like that! Looks good!

I also love the RAM "X Grip" you're showing on your bike. Problem I'm experiencing is finding a suitable "black" power port with both 12v and USB to mount, that looks good too. What are you using there?

Hi,

The HD luggage rack is mounted on the back seat. I have two configuration for my bike.
- On solo trip as in the picture with this premier tail bag mounted on the backseat. The grip is good and leaning back doesn't distort or sway the backrest.
- For pillion I have the detachable luggage rack 50300091 , sissy bar upright 50300071 and backrest pad 52300281. I use premium touring day bag 93300017 in this case.

- Ram phone mount is really good, I also have Multifit Book audio music tank pouch 76000193 for rainy days.

- I used EKLIPES EK1-110B Black cobra usb charging system.

Have quite a few other upgrade on this bike if you are interested to know the key ones...
- Mirror extender from a local supplier.
- Superbright LED AUX-10W0R45B - Black aux lights
- Stone free Aluminum replacement grill SFM-201
- Rage cycles fender eliminator kit HD750-FE
- Clear water Erica E70 for those night rides..

There are other changes like a bucket seat for better lumbar support which i change from stock for long rides, helmet lock..hazard switch etc..
Some more photos..

Bike looks great!

I picked up the Ekipse power port, in black, but didn't like the way it fit on the bars. I have the same power port on my other bike, in chrome, so I thought I'd like it on the 750 too. Just don't like the way it looks on this bike. :(

If you have the Screaming eagle nightstick exhaust then have you tried to remove the diffuser disks.

The dealer here had them on my bike by default and I wanted more noise so i took them off and wow... made a huge difference! I remember my wife coming out of the kitchen screaming "turn that off". I knew then that it was perfect. hehe

I have the discs on but the end cap removed. Sounds great! I heard a Two Brothers yesterday. Totally different sound, but I liked it too.
