I sometimes have difficulty finding neutral, and I've realized it's most likely after I've come to a stop, have it in 1st with the clutch pulled, and roll the bike to park it. It seems as if it finds neutral easily if I just come to a complete stop and don't roll the bike. I can still find it if I ease out on the clutch to put a small load on it with the brakes on though (after I fully pull the clutch again though).

Typical harley they all are a pain to get into nuetral, however the indicator is a design flaw in my opinion, I just tap it a little bit and it lights up.

Mine too I also put it in neutral as I come to a stop not at red lights however, I wanna be ready to bolt if need be , if some one isn't paying attention , like texting

I've actually been having problems shifting into 2nd gear these last two weeks. It's like I try to go from 1st to 2nd and it falls out or won't catch 2nd gear and drops into neutral. I'll hear it click like it caught the gear, and then it just revs. Maybe I'm not getting off the clutch quick enough or something. Has anybody else had this problem?
I have the same problem. After amost one year ridding the 750 street the problem appeared. I went to my dealer and, after he analyze the bike, he told me the problem was on me... have you solved the problem of the 2 gear drops to neutral?

I got my bike last week. I have ridden it in all types of road and traffic condition since then. Never find any problem in shifting to neutral. Although I faced difficulty in finding neutral on the test ride bike, but its really smooth in my bike.

Same is my experience. I've driven about 140km since I bought it on 30th May. While coming to a stop often I'm unable to get into Neutral. Then I turn-off the switch and with a light tap the N lights up. May be a minor problem with bike or it might also be that I'm riding a bike 22yrs after my last mobike!!

Considering how many people report finding neutral on these bikes it's not a problem with you being a bit rusty at this.

It was very annoying for the first few hundred miles, but after that break in period mine has become progressively easier to get it into neutral. The indicator light still has a significant delay before coming on if it ever does so.

Your Street is still "new" and as the miles grow and you become used to the bike the gear changes will become much easier. For a start I try and get the bike into neutral before coming to a complete stop.

While riding my 2015 xg750 today. My foot shifter went limp. I was lucky enough to roll up to a garage where a couple guys offered to fix the broken weld on the clamp that's connected to the shaft that is rotated to shift gears. I would recommend that everyone inspect this part on their XG's. My bike is 4 years old with over 27,500 miles on the odometer. After the part was re-welding. Shifting the bike was much smoother. Not the greatest pics but you will see which part I'm referring too.
