Hello all, I am Jason, from Nampa, Idaho. Just outside of Boise if you are curious.

I have been around bikes all my life. I have a 2000 Road King Police. I was able to purchase it when the local Police Department went over to the new BMW's back in 2002. 50,000 miles later I am still a happy man!

My girlfriend and now her daughter have both been looking into getting bikes, and when the talk on the street about the Street started happening, we were interested.

In looking around on the net, I came across this fine board, and here we go!!

Seeing as how you already have a high powered Harley, what makes you want to add the HD Street to your collection?

Also, welcome to the forum! I look forward to plenty of discussion with ya.

Thanks Yusef!

My girlfriend and her daughter are both smaller people, and are new to riding on their own. Neither had been on a bike before riding with me.

They would be using theirs mostly for commuting, so a smaller bike would all around suit them. We were looking at the Sportsters, and some of the other larger bikes, but they weren't what they were looking for. As soon as the saw the pictures of the Street, they got excited, so here we are.

We do a lot of group rides and they are usually not high speed. According to the stats on the Street, it should be well suited for that as well. We will keep mine, then we can ride two-up if we want, or they can roll on theirs.

Welcome to the forum.
I have family that farm out of Caldwell. And a lot more family around Vale, Or. Small world Ay?:D

Are you going to the antique motorcycle show this month in Caldwell? It's a great show. I'm thinking about coming over for it.

You're lucky thats for sure I would like to start up my own Rc too but no one else would even take a ride on the back with me. Lack of interest I guess. :(

Hey, you have a bigger picture of that road king in your display pic?

HarleyVest,

Definitely do not want to start an RC, too much drama when you get "organized". LOL I have a bunch of friends around here that ride, and they have friends that ride, so I can almost always find someone to ride with. If not, I have no problem rolling solo. My girlfriend is ALWAYS up for a ride too. We'll take the bike to the grocery store if life is getting in the way of riding! LOL

Where are you out of?

This is the same pic I used for my avatar, I will see if I have any more here at work.

Harleyhoonigan, riding in and around Sturgis was incredible, especially with 500,000 of my closest friends! LOL Couldn't afford it last year, but hoping to go again this year.

Shark Nose, Thanks! I'll look into it!
