Hello, I am 58 years old and have had motorcycles since I was 15. I started out with a 65cc Honda scrambler, a 350 Honda street bike several Kawasaki models and road raced a built Honda 400cc 4 cylinder. I got out of motorcycles for a few years and then purchased a Harley Davidson super glide because it looked just like the super glide did in 1976. It was a great bike but it didn't handle like the old Japanese universal motorcycle. I sold the super glide and was thinking about another jap bike when I saw the xg750 street. I rode it, and behold it ran and handled like the bikes I remembered from my younger years. I am very happy and impressed with this bike. Sorry to ramble, thanks for having me and glad to be here.

Welcome aboard. Exactly my feelings - the XG750 is a revisiting of the UJM (Universal Japanese Motorcycle), but built by Harley. IMO it's what they needed to build to appeal to those of us who grew up on the UJMs. Not everyone enjoys or wants the legs-splayed-out, ape-hanger riding position dictated by most "cruiser" bikes, and there's a whole lot of us who have long since outgrown the hunched-over crotch-rocket ride too. The Street strikes a perfect balance.

I am 59. I have had dirt bikes and 4 wheelers until now. I ran out of places to ride and got tired of getting dirty. When I saw the new Street HD bikes I was smitten!

welcome. for me the biggest reason for getting a 750 is that it is the most reasonably priced Harley here in Philippines.
