Hi. Transitioning member checking in as I see an opportunity to learn about the new tech model line and see how individuals and builders respond to them. Looks to be a good market move in order for Harley to attract a new generation of U.S. and international riders as the geezer generation (like me) with the big old hogs fade away.

welcome to the forum.
this is indeed a move from them to tap into a more mainstream market, good move on their part. with people wanting cheaper bikes, this is a great addition.
welcome to the forum scrounger! I share the same sentiments as you about the Street. Its a real bridge between the differing tastes of Japanese faithful and the Harley crowd...
Welcome aboard @webscrounger!
Thanks all! Welcome as well.

Harley Davidson is just trying to reach out to everyone but it doesn't mean a particular age group will fade away or disappear. It's an interesting line to get in to. I can't wait to see the HD street 500 . Kind of undecided at the moment whther i'll go with the 500 or 750.

Have you made up your mind yet?

thats exactly whats happening here, harley is just going with the growing market and reaching a new type of harley owner and even giving current harley owners something different
To me it just looks like they are filling in the gaps. No complaints on the biek though. i have heard some good things about it after the EIMCA show in Milan. I wouldn't be surprised if this HD Street line blows everything out of proportion. Just watch...
welcome to the forum! what are you riding now?
@webscrounger

What other bikes have you looked at besides the HD street?
