Seems like I've posted on 3 or 4 threads in the last two days, sorry if this is a duplicate. Bought a Street 750 yesterday. I have several questions already.
1. What after-market windshield works best to replace the stock "fairing" on the Street 750?
2. What after-market or H-D two-up seat plus sissy bar would work best on the Street 750?
3. What after-market mirrors have a longer stem, especially a left-side one? I have a huge blind spot at present.
Thx

Windshield options with pictures here: http://www.hdstreetforums.com/forum...parts-accessories/4162-street-windshield.html

Mirror extensions and the modifications you'll need to do to fit them can be found here: http://www.hdstreetforums.com/forum...eneral-discussion/4082-mirror-extensions.html

Sorry, I've not done any searching at any point on a two up seat or sissy bar.
Thx for those leads! For sure, I'm going to get one of the National Defender windshields.
Irie, are the Tribal mirrors H-D or an after-market manufacturer item?

You should also be aware of HD products:
1. Windshield - Quick-Release 25 in. Super Sport Windshield | Windshields | Official Harley-Davidson Online Store
3. Long stem mirrors. The same shape as the one you have, just longer stem. Works well.
Right side Tapered Long Stem Black Mirror - Right Side | Handlebar Mounted Mirrors | Official Harley-Davidson Online Store
Left side Tapered Long Stem Mirror - Left Side | Handlebar Mounted Mirrors | Official Harley-Davidson Online Store
2. For me was good a combination of HD detachable luggage rack H-D Detachables Two-Up Luggage Rack - Gloss Black | Racks | Official Harley-Davidson Online Store and the seat from Corbin with their backrest Corbin Motorcycle Seats & Accessories | HD Street 750 / 500 | 800-538-7035

The above are not the cheapest options, but I liked them.

Very, very helpful, Marian!
BTW, is that the Thunder version? Does it ride , accelerate or handle differently, or are the differences cosmetic?
Thx for your help!

Another question: pls give me an idea of your seated height and whether you look through or over the windscreen. I'm 5'7" with a 29" inseam, and it looks like I'd be looking through it, which I'd rather not.

It is not the Thunder version. This is Harley product.
As I understand with the Thunder version, you will keep the current cowl around the headlamp. With the Harley version, the cowl will be removed and the windshield goes around the headlamp.
I did not find any difference in acceleration or handling. I found it to be a great benefit in being bothered by wind. I would not ride without it.

I am 5'9and1/2" with a 32" inseam. I am very comfortably looking over the windshield. In a fact I do not notice there is a windscreen. As I mentioned before, the ride is much more comfortable not feeling the wind in the chest.

Did you have to remove anything besides the cowl, specifically the bracket that supports it ?

Thanks

@marian,

"I cannot answer that, I had my HD dealer do the installation along with some other options. "

The bracket that I speak of also guides the front break line and the accelerator cables. If it is still there then removal is, obviously, not necessary. If you get a chance please check it out and let me know.

Thanks,

JMB
I believe it is still there. I attached 2 pictures of that area so you can see if it is the bracket that you speak of.

@marian,

That's the one! Thank you so much. Right now I have the National Cycle windshield that fits over the cowl. It's better than nothing but now that I know that the Harley Sport isn't a "see through" I think that I'll go that way for longer trips.

HAPPY RIDING AND KEEP SAFE MY FRIEND

I two-upped with my husband on my bike.... I do not recommend it. Maybe if you are both small.... We rode 2 up when I was still practicing in the parking lot. He would drive the bike there and I would passenger. Most uncomfortable 3 miles of my life.

I have a reduce reach seat, tail bag and HD windshield. I removed the 'hood' around the light. I like the look much better without it.
