I noticed today that there is a little amount of oil around one of the head bolt. Is that normal or is it serious?
It should not be seeping oil from around the bolts. While not "serious" it is a problem you should have the dealer fix. It's covered by the warranty.

I do have an oil leak problem but looks like the oil is leaking from the part where the gear shifter is attached to the crankcase. pardon my noobness but I am not sure what it is called.

The flow is not much, a couple of drops at max overnight.

Taking to the center over the weekend. Can anybody confirm if this will be covered in warranty or not?

@Kinshuk Arya: its a leakage from wornout Oring... its not a costly repair..approx Rs. 200 approx. its under warranty otherwise
Thanks a ot Vicks, but with Harley its the labour cost that is more expensive than the part. The pick up and drop facility costs 2500INR plus taxes here in Pune,

one thing though how can it be worn out? the bike is just a month old.

These will and should be fixed under warranty free of cost.
I too had a leak in rear cylinder head bolt. Apparently it was worn out o-ring and it took months and lot of phone calls for the part to arrive.

@Kinshuk Arya: The same prob was on my street also, u dont need to tow away ur bike to service station, if ur service is due just address the same prob. to them it takes approx 20-25 min to replace oring.

they replace oring on my street free of cost.

# its not an serious issue as theres only one or two drops in a day

I drove down to the service center & it hardly took 20 mins to fix the Leak. They mentioned that they had done some tappet setting in the previous service which caused a minor oil leak. They fixed it & did not charge me anything for it. After that i had no issues at all.

2500 INR seems to be very high. In Mumbai they charge only 1000 INR for the pickup & drop. (Sometimes they even might not charge you ;) )

Thats nice man, maybe the distance is taken in to account. My house is around 35kms from the service center.

Got the oil leak fixed in the service. the issue was with some o ring near the nuetral gear shaft or something like that.
