Question for the Testers...

When you test piloted the Street 750 how did you find the throttle? The reason i ask is because I know on the KTM Duke 390 the throttle is quite slack, often needing a double grab to get you into the high revs. KTM says that was necessary to accommodate the snappy response of the engine to the crop of new riders who would be choosing the Duke 390.

This was pulled from a review Sunny posted in another thread:

Eight Things You Will Like About The Harley-Davidson Street 750 - Overdrive

As a novice-friendly, non-intimidating package, the RevX is a tremendous engine because it offers you both impressive torque as well as a friendly, unintimidating power delivery.
So I just wonder if the Street 750's throttle tube is wound slack to make it novice friendly?

Street 750 throttle is awesome. Taken 2 times test drive. I ran this bike 140 @ kmph, still there was left some more acceleration.

Nice! How was acceleration and how was it getting to 140? Did it fast go fast enough from 0-140?
yes throttle is very responsive and you can hit 120 in 3rd gear itself..

0-100kmph in 4.5 sec

thats pretty fast

quicker than MOST cars.
It's always embarassing when the mom in the minivan in the next lane at the traffic light floors it and beats you out of the hole. Not that I have ever had that happen to me.
Starting pickup is awesome and I think the top speed will reach to approx 160 KMPH

Why the torque is flat becoz this bike is made for both city and highway purpose.

yea I hear all y'all on the pickup/accel and top speed, but I'm wondering about the actual throttle tube. Is it snappy or do you find it laxer to accommodate newer riders. How much wristcock did you guys see to go WOT? Like i said in OP I know some of the other beginer friendly bikes out there are wound slack, some of them even need a double grab to get all the way open...

With 32 degrees of rake and 114 mm of trail, it won't be twitchy.

Hi Friends,

KMs driven - 240 Kms on Strret 750.
Did you mean ODO reading was 240 or you rode 240km?
hi Meph,

I rode 240 Kms , its an amazing machine....
Hi Oberois0004,

Did you fill her up in those 240kms. Any idea about tank range?
Also what top speed did you observe? You can send private message if posting is against form rules and also how it gets there?
hi Meph,

I rode 240 Kms , its an amazing machine....
does it honestly feel like something you could spend all day on no worries?
hi memph,

Answering you Questions:

Yes we did fill her up once, Its at 13 Liters Tank. The average is around 18 Kms / Liter which we got. I touched a top speed of 160 KM/H, 120 KMPH is the best speed to criuse at above that you have to handle the Wind to reach above speeds, but it goes very smooth. Top speed mentioned is 180 and i am sure it can definitely do that.

I hope it helps you make the decision, anything else do write to me, would be happy to help...

I will give you my Entire experience of the bike:

Good Points :

Super responsive engine - Very peppy
Superb handling
Look Cool
Entry to the Harley Club

Point to Consider:

Brakes - Not very Responsive as on other Harley
Low seating height - If you are too tall.

Things I will definitely change:

Bikes Handle Bars
Exhaust Pipes.
