Hi Guys,

You will have to forgive my ignorance at how to search for topics on this site but have only just joined and am not yet up to speed on how to search for topics. I have a question that I have no doubt others have asked previously.

Not picked up my bike yet and am spending my days trolling the web and watching you tube videos in which they often refer to r.p.m.'s. Now correct me if I am wrong but when the authors state my bike was doing blah at blah r.p.m. I am assuming that either these guys have a phd in quantum physics or they have found something I am looking for - a m.p.h. / r.p.m. chart for a 750 Street!

Anyone any idea where one could obtain such info?

Cheers.

All Streets since 2017 have a tachometer in the instrument display. That'll tell you the RPM the engine is turning, and a glance at the speedo will tell you what speed you are going, so ... there it is.

The RPM at MPH calculation changes depending on what gear you're in.

I put up a thread here somewhere that showed what the various speeds were in top gear at like 3000, 4000, and 5000 RPM, but you'd have to search for it.

I checked with the dealer today and he says there is no tacho on it - so am confused now. I will have to search for the post previously concerning rpm once I learn how to search lol

Starting with 2017 they do have a tachometer -- it's digital. Push the button on the odometer and it should cycle to the tachometer.

And here's the RPM thread I was referencing earlier:
https://www.hdstreetforums.com/foru...scussion/19378-engine-rpm-highway-speeds.html

In that thread a guy with a 2017 says he has a tach and that it must be new for that year, so I edited my post above to change "2016" to "2017".

The 750 Street is a bike with a flat torque curve that peaks at 4,000 RPM and does not go much higher right through to the rev limiter. My style of riding allows me to change through the gears very quickly, usually getting into 6th just as the spedo passes the 60km hour mark, using the torque to its full advantage. Again it is a riding style that I have adapted to, but it may not suit other riders.

Yes, the time and tach/gear were added in 2017 when the Street Rod was introduced. Prior to that they just had odometer and trip A/B.
