From February 2016 through October of 2018 I got out on the bike at least once a month, but have been slipping a bit lately.

In Iowa during the winter months it's often a bit too cold for me to ride to work, so most of my winter rides are mid-day on weekends. Unfortunately, my days off in November and December were spent away from where the bike lives.

The exception to that was on Thanksgiving weekend when my brother was helping me move to another apartment. We were going to take both bikes for a 20 mile loop around the neighborhood. Unfortunately the Sportster would crank but not start, so I did the gentlemanly thing and let him ride the Street while I led him to the restaurant in my truck. The good news is that he found his own way back through some of the few twistys we have in the area. He is now much more impressed with the Street than he has been in the past and is seriously considering getting back into riding.

In our end of Africa you have no excuse not to ride almost every day. Even if it rains, the ride is in no way unpleasant. You have the extreme cold Pugsly, here it is the opposite, really hot and humid. The worse heat is December through to March where. if you have to ride in city traffic, you can feel the engine heat as soon as you stop at the lights. My sister moved from Durban to Miami and she wrote back saying the weather in the south of Florida was similar to ours, so you have an idea. Only good thing over here we do not have hurricanes!
