Test byk came to Spice Coast H-D, Kochi and my sales advisor called me for test ride. I set an appointment with him for TR and went there today to experience the real feel of Street 750. :)

Street 750 in RED doesn't impress me as I felt the combo a bit odd! Still the Harley badge and bulkiness of a premium bike supports the looks to a great extent.

Service advisor completed the TR formalities and handed over helmet and keys to me. Here they give directions of the route and follow us on another bike.

Wore the helmet, switched the keys ON and started the bike. It doesn't sound the iconic potato potato like other Harley's of the list. Sound is subtle with a mild roar of other Harleys.
(Engine cranks even when the engine killer switch is OFF)

Took a 'U' turn from parking bay towards the road. The turning radius seems perfect for quick and narrow spaces.
Hit the road and you immediately feel something premium and the RUSH from engine as you accelerate is really awesome. Engine response is really good till 60km/hr and there after comparatively a bit sluggish till it reaches 100 km/hr. Still this thingy manages to reach 100km/hr in a very short time and distance.

Pull thru the traffic and easeness to do zig-zag rides brings an instant smile on your face. However, as Desert Tortoise commented somewhere, Rear tyre size being 150/70/15, this has a tendency to go straight when you take a bit curvy, zig-zag path inbetween the traffic.

Couldn't ride it thru any rough roads and so really can't comment the comfort factor on such situations. However, it feels extremely comfortable on normal paved roads. Am sure the rider won't go uncomfortable even on long rides.

Fit and Finish of the byk has already been discussed everywhere and I didn't see anything different in real. One thing I felt is, the owners should do a lot of detailing to keep it standout from the crowd! Even slightly dusted byk looses its appeal big time.

I had a plan to upgrade my booking to something else if I don't like Street 750. Now all such worries have gone and have decided to stick to this itself! YAAYY!!! ;-

Altogether a good buy for the buck! You will NOT feel bad on your decision to go for this byk. Very promising design and easily the poor man's Harley.

Hey man , you look great on the bike .

I have one query , is it possible to inch the bike forward in bumper to bumper traffic or should we expect the jerky motion of 500cc+ sportsbike , they are pure nuisance in bumper to bumper ? And I do agree the red colour looks odd because of the black mini fairing , gloss black for me when I finally decide to plonk the cash .

Thanks Basuroy for that comment

Well.. therez absolutely no jerking issue. Its butter smooth! Power delivery is really smooth and instant! Hats off to H-D for such a cleaver design!

Btw, I forgot to mention about brakes...
ITS GOOD! Like many said, you need tad more of leverage on the pedal for rear wheel braking.. but its perfect braking once the leverage is correct. I've tried locking the rear wheel too... with not MUCH of an effort!
Front brakes are good and decelerates the bike quickly. Am used to applying both the brakes rt from the yezdi ages. I can say absolutely NO issues with braking efficiency.

Very Nice Review Auto Nut.. Bike fits perfectly on you.. wat is ur height?

another satisfied test drive report

Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk
Thanks sunny_sahdev :)
Am 90% satisfied with the selection and decision. Street 750 aint give you the same snob value as of other Harleys! But it has its features to stand out in a crowd.
Above all that, the ride and handling is the major factor, where Street 750 wins hands down!

I really liked the bike.:)

Nice review there autonut, and the bike fits your height perfectly.

How tall are you ???
Thanks :)

Yeah.. the bike is perfect for my size. Me is 5 feet 8 inch tall :)

Thanks for the writeup! We in the US are impatiently waiting for the full blown magazine road tests to appear.
Thanks :)

Test ride reports in most of the magazines are a bit biased and favour the manufacturers. You get unbiased, clear reviews here. ;-)
