Hi,

Has anybody installed a self canceling turn signal kit? If so which one and are there any caveats?

Thanks,
Sean
Having grow up riding in the days before the self-canceling motorcycle turn signal I have to admit this was a great albeit simple invention. So far I haven't seen a mod kit for the Street but all it really consists of is a mercury switch. Of course I'm thinking of eliminating the problem on my Stone Free chopper by simply not having turn signals. LOL

On a more serious note my partner is an expert on "all things motorcycle" so I'll ask him if he knows of a good after market "universal" self-canceling turn signal kit for motorcycles. If it exists he knows about it and who makes it.

Please Note:The Self Canceling Turn Signal Module™ requires momentary push buttons to operate (not included). Latching-type switches, or push to cancel type switches, will not work properly because these types of switches send constant power to your turn signals when on and will defeat the main purpose of the self canceling feature.

I did google it and came up with the same list you did, I was asking if anybody had done the modification and if there was anything to be aware of.

Thanks,
Sean

That's the problem my partner and I found. The Street has a latching type switch that won't work with the self-canceling mercury switch. Basically the turn signal switches would have to be changed to the momentary push button switch like on my Sportster.
