This was my 2nd ride with my "therapist" - a black denim black Street 750 :). The first one was the freedom ride from Pune to Lonavala with the Two Rivers Harley Davidson chapter in Pune. This time I decided to go solo. Timed myself for a 45 mins to and 45 mins fro ride. Also wanted to try out these new boots that I purchased just for my Sunday rides with the "therapist".

Left home at 6:15 in the morning with my old Canon A640 camera and the gorillapod. The highway is only 2.5 kms from home. Being a Sunday and early morning, I got to the highway in no time. Once on the highway it took me 10 mins to get to the outskirts of Pune and then I was on a roll. Must have only changed gears from 6 to lower for the two tolls that were on the way. No tolls for two wheelers too:). Otherwise I was constantly doing 100 kmph (60 mph) in the 6th gear. Clear skies, very little traffic, I enjoyed being on the road with my "therapist". I had my earphones on with some music playing and once the 45 mins countdown timer went off, I stopped to take a break and some pictures.

Spent around 15 mins getting various angles of my "therapist" and a couple of mine posing on her. The gorillapod came in handy. I've attached a few pictures from that road trip here. The ride back was equally good. It was 8:30 am when I got back home. I did around 100 kms. My wife and 16 month old son were still asleep. Had the whole day to spend with them and boy that was a good start to the day. Met my cousin in the evening, added a couple of shots from that visit too.

Hope you like the photos, will post more after every Sunday ride. :)

Enjoyed your post, I looked up your location on Google maps. The India guys at work corrected my pronunciation of the town names and we talked a bit about your post.

We do similar activities, I get up early on Sunday morning and ride my Street 750, Layla, in the Texas hill country for several hours and then spend the day with my family. My rides are slower down the twisty back roads, just bicycles and motorcycles on the roads at this time.

@bmoothedan thanks for sharing your sunday morning with us. This has to be the first time I have heard that name for a bike, it makes a lot of sense though. All of of our bike serve the same purpose :)

You're big in to photgraphy arent you? have any more snaps to share?

Fantastic! Is the whole ride on dirt roads, must be fun when she starts to waggle on you, just channel your inner XR750.

I like that one picture, like father like son :D
It wasn't a dirt road, I only take her out on highways. However it's raining here in Pune for the last 2-3 months (monsoon season), so if you're on any road, it can get quite dirty. ;).

Picture - like father like son, thanks and ditto - I love that one too. :D

She truly is my therapist :). I've got plenty of photos to share but I figured there's a limit to how much you could upload on this forum. All my photos are uploaded to my Google account. From the year 2000 (which is when I came to Pune for work) until now, I have around 615 albums for the many events that have occurred over the years.

Here's the album I'm maintaining for the therapist in 2014: https://plus.google.com/photos/1037...ms/6042819701922571665?authkey=CJ6ky9HcvKm0JA

You can follow this album if you are interested. I will keep adding new photos to this album.

Where were you before heading over to Pune. My co worker the other day was just talking about how Pune is great for eateries and flooded with amazing restaurants. He also mentioned hwo the poeple are nice but just a bit conservative. Weather must be amazing for the two wheels! :)

Thanks for sharing your photo album im sure all of us will get to know you betterthat way living your memories. That will keep me busy for a while.

I am from one of the southern states of India called Kerala where the language spoken is Malayalam. I was in the city of Kochi prior to coming to Pune.

Pune is a very nice place to live in but it has changed over the years. It is also known by other names - Oxford of the East (since there a some world class educational institutes here), cultural capital of the state of Maharashtra (Mumbai is the official capital) and pensioners paradise (a lot of retired folks used to settle down in Pune since it's a slow paced city). The weather here is generally cool but over the years with the city growing uncontrollably, it's gotten hotter. However it is no where compared to Mumbai which is a very fast paced city where no one has time for anyone else.

I always believe that photos can speak a thousand words. Online storage space is cheap. Photos are one of my long term plans for retirement. I got to have something to look back at if and when I retire. :)

I think I'll put Pune in the list of places to visit when I get the chance. Sounds like you have it good down there. Before you retire make sure you prep up the little one for his own two wheels.
