Hi.
I have read a lot of posts on this site from all versions of the Street and Street rod about it being hard to find neutral so the light comes on. Some people say it works fine. So when you look they have later bikes. I have a 2017. So today I took out the neutral switch and contact pin and replaced them with the NEW ones. Now it works perfectly. Yes Harley re designed the switch and pin, did not recall the bikes and did not tell anyone.
Neutral switch new part number. 34700231. Also needed is the contact pin plate 33900095. The switch comes with a new pin. Solved.

Thanks Ratdog Fink for posting this... I've been struggling to get any sign of neutral for quite a while now. It was frustrating whilst at traffic lights etc and felt like a right tit at times. I have ordered the bits from local HD dealer (quite cheap as it happens) and will change them when it's no so icy weather. Thanks also to who posted the vid.

Hi. It was me doing my first youtube video.

After you put the pin in and the retaining plate with the screw in the middle, give the pin a push a few times to make sure it's free to move.
Also don't forget you have to drain the oil first. I drained it into a clean container and poured it back in as it was new oil.
I went for a ride and never failed to find neutral once, from first up and second down.

My next post and video is going to be moving the fob receiver so the alarm doesn't keep going off if you breath on the bike with the fob in your pocket.

Well that was a very good informative video and a brilliant first attempt..as for the key fob, I've not really had issues with mine other than changing the battery but will keep my eye out for your video... Thanks again.. Rich. T.
