Who has used, or done, the horn mod using the parts from "Stone Free Mfg."?

http://www.stonefree.us/Stone_Free_Mfg_Products.html

It looked simple enough, but, when I started to remove the parts this afternoon, and put it back together, I'm doing something wrong.
The "L" shaped piece from "Stone Free" seems to still turn the horn forward, like stock.

Can someone, who has used this Part (SFM-301) from Stone Free walk me thru the install?

I removed the horn. Removed the straight piece that it was mounted to. (The piece that is held on with the 3 small "Allen head bolts") Then I removed the larger bracket with the 2 10mm Bolts. I believe it said that this part was not used again (??) Reinsert the 2 larger 10mm bolts ......................... and .....................this is where I think I'm going wrong. It says to attach the SFM part (the "L" shaped piece to the top bolt with the nut in the kit. Even if I do that it still looks like the horn will be facing forward (??)

The picture that SFM show isn't very clear.

Someone on here has used this kit.

Bike isn't here (in storage for the winter) but I'll go back tomorrow afternoon and try again!

10-64, I mounted this relocation kit on my 750. I am assuming from your description that you have removed the bolts, removed the OEM horn mount and re-installed the bolts and nuts. The horn mounts to the back side of the vertical leg of the "L", the horizontal leg with the hole fits onto the bolt and nut supplied with kit holds it on. The horn faces forward inside the frame. Just took my bike to the dealer or I would send a picture. If this doesn't help, contact me. I am 10 minutes from the dealer and will go by and take some pictures.

It says it Moves the Horn to Behind the Radiator. Using a supplied Nut and Lock Washer. Looks like its mounted to a Engine Mounting bolt.

That might be what I was doing wrong.
So, the relocated horn faces forward towards the radiator, NOT out to the side, like some other mods, correct?

Correct. Be sure to re-install the engine mounting bolts and tighten down the nuts. The horn relocation bracket installs over this nut.

Done!

Once you know that this is to be facing the radiator, and not out, it all makes sense.

I love the way the horn is now tucked in behind the rad too. Looks like a factory install location. Why they never did it this way in the first place amazes me!

I see on the new 2016's that the horn is relocated in behind the radiator, just like the "Stone Free" mod.
