I haven't seen a thread on this yet, so I'll go ahead and start. I have prices from 2 dealerships, both in central California...

Black Denim Street 500 - 9800 Out the door - This was from House of Thunder HD in Morgan Hill, CA. I passed on this one, of course.

Gloss Black Street 500 - 8400 Out the door - This was from Monterey HD in Salinas, CA. This is the one I actually bought. Very reasonable fees, relatively speaking!

Both of these bikes were bone stock, no options, no nothing. Just the bike and a tank of gas, that's it.

Mine was $8300 for the street 750. that was with the screaming eagle pipe and the #1 plates on it. Was 7700 stock the added stuff was 600$ They tried to add a bunch of extra charges at the end but i did not want all that stuff. Think my final price after taxes and all was a little under 9k. I was really happy.
Congratz on your bikes. I love mine.

Just bought my 750 today. Denim black paint, that's it. $9,100.00 out the door. That's all taxes, registration fees and license. More than I wanted to pay but I had to have one after I rode it.
I might add I have the only 750 Street in Knoxville, Tn. :)

Surprised at the $1,200 difference between the two dealers. Is that all just extra fees and the like? None of that is because you are getting any more for your money?
Yep, the Morgan Hill dealer wanted 1250 for their prep, and 211 for "other," and inflated everything else - it was a friggin joke. I actually snapped a shot of their deal they proposed. The Monterey dealer wanted actual msrp, 395 for prep, cali emissions (100), actual freight, and ttl.

that's crazy, another reason why i like to shop around, some dealers know that people really want these and know that there will always be that guy who will pay the markup to get the bike or whatever it may be.

That better be some incredible prep work. What could possibly be done in prep work for an HD Street bike that would cost $1,250? Do you get some gold plated wheels or something?

Some dealers are just trying to squeeze every last dollar out of you.

They probably added some liquid gold in the engine and gas tank, and maybe some air in the tires with gold in it. :)

Man... The tax alone here was 650. California emissions was 100, shipping was 330, and prep was 400...
I looked at the paperwork again and that's what it was, I bought it at Fox valley Harley-Davidson dealer. I do remember telling the salesman that this was actually cheaper than a GTV 300 Vespa. It's like a no-brainer, it's cheaper to buy the Harley than an Italian scooter! They also sell Vespa scooters at the Harley-Davidson dealer.

I guess that's a good thing about this thread, because it gives people some insight of what actually other people are paying for their bikes.

Street750Nc: Did I understand correctly that your dealer's OTD price for a Street 750 was $7,700 out-the-door (without the accessories)? If so, can you tell us which dealership gave you this price? Thanks.

My same Street 750 in WA was $9,081 and dealer waived the dealer set-up charges and tossed in a $160 H-D riding jacket because I paid cash.

State license and possible sales taxes will make OTD prices slightly different around the country.

Yeap. Was here in greensboro NC. it was $7758 for the bike. $8358 with the add ons. $300 dealer fee. Then a few other charges and my tax. It was 9350 total. I was a little wrong when i 1st looked at it with the little under 9k. They tried to get me with the Gap insurance, prep service, and a few other charges i didnt want. With those other charges it would have been over 10k.
