Hey guys im thinking of buying street 750 by march/april but i hv heard that they launch new model by sept each yr us that true. I hv heard that 2016 street750 was launched by sept 2015.
Well everything in 2016 is good brakes hv been upgraded and according to me that was the only weakness street had for me BUT
The hope that they can include ABS in 2017 model is killing me. If i buy 2016 model and within months if they launch 2017 model with ABS i will feel like stupid.
However i do feel i hv waited enough so if they have a history of launching in September new model than i can wait couple of month not more than that. Plz give ur suggestions
Harley showroom is far from my place so really go there to enquire i hv visited and called them enough till now and they were helpful bt i think a common prespective will be much better.
Thanks in advance

It depends just how badly you want to ride the Street. I got my 2015 750 last May and don't regret for one moment the fun I have had with it. For me getting the model at the time I did was worth it. I would not have lasted had i tried waiting for the new model. But that is just how I am.

Hi Avin20014,

i got 2016 model in Feb 1st week & really enjoying the ride, ( done some odd 3200+ kms till now)
If its your 1st Harley then for sure you love raw power.

If you already drove any other version then you will miss REAL Harley Sound,

They upgrade breaks, Loose wires, welding seam of tank & other small features in new 2016

Harley released the 2016 model in very late August and then September
We took delivery in early October
Just my thoughts but I dont think there will be any big changes for 2017
The Brakes were the big deal for 2016 model year

I too am waiting for the ABS upgrade !! Have delayed purchase for a long time now. If there is no upgrade expected, might change to another brand. According to me, ABS is an important safety feature and should be incorporated in all vehicles, be they 2 wheelers or 4 wheelers.

You better choose another brand, because I highly doubt that you'll see ABS brakes ever put on the "entry level Street" bike. You'll see it on the "Sportster" lineup way before you'll ever see it here.

(I've also got a full size "Cruiser" that doesn't even have ABS!)

If you're delaying the purchase of a "Street" bike, and waiting for ABS, I wouldn't wait any longer, and miss out on the riding seasons for 2016, 2017 and maybe even 2018. Go elsewhere, my son, go elsewhere!

The best advice I can give is to present your problem to the dealer and see if they will give you a guaranteed trade-in value IF (and it's big IF) the 2017 offers ABS. If they're willing to do that then GET IT IN WRITING.

The dealer is going to want to move their existing 2016 inventory so you might be able to get good price on a 2016. I don't know because many dealers won't drop much, if at all, on the MSRP. Of course it never hurts to try,

At the same time, with over 45 years of riding experience, I've never been in a "panic stop" situation that required ABS. This of course relates to the fact that I ride "very aware" so I've always managed to avoid those situations (knock on wood) but I also know how to properly use the brakes so ABS isn't that important to me even in a panic stop situation.

For me riding is everything and the other options are always secondary. If you're already riding something, anything, then the delay isn't very important but if you're not riding at all then any delay is important.

Now it's already September, and I don't think 2017 Street will be launched now.may be in November ? Good news is HD updated their website with 2017 street with lots of features. I am thinking of waiting till December just 3 more months ( ? )
