Street 750 Handlebar ?

Anyone else find the street 750 handlebar too ... plain?
I want to change these to dragbar to give it a proper low-profile cafe-racer look, along with flipped bar-end mirrors (
).

The tech guy at Bengal HD said the sportster dragbar (1" OD) will not fit the street 750 and the clutch cable as well as controls housing will require changing.
Can anyone tell me the diameter of the stock handlebar, perhaps from the manual?

Also I am kind of a newbie when it comes to DIY, so why would the cables need changing when the dragbar is supposed to be lower than the stock handlebar? The guy ain't too happy about trying to install the aftermarket mirrors either :(

I always did find it to be a bit too plain but it didn't bother me too much, definitely something worth looking into to change or modify
Just measure the diameter with an outide micrometer.

The stock handlebar is supposed to be 7/8" according to a review I read.
I think that as long as the cables physically reach the new handlebar, there is no reason to require swapping them. But I have never changed a handlebar myself.

Black 7/8 drag bars are readily available from numerous companies/suppliers,
or even on Ebay. Ours will be here this afternoon.

If you're talking about the bar, then please update me here once you have installed it.. (Y)
Handlebars can definitely be improved.
@badguppy : Curious to see how the flipped bar end mirrors would look on the street 750. Btw any idea how much the Harley dealers are charging for such mirrors? (for the parts and installation of it)
I don't see any bar end mirrors on Harley's US store online...so I might buy a cheap one for 2.5k-3k on Amazon. I will also need to change the handlebar grips to have removable bar ends.. I don't think the stock ones have removable ends.
handle bars are a given

everyone has their own preferences

and they arent that hard to swap out

so many options! post up photos for those who swap to another

which ones are you looking to buy from amazon. I notice a ton of universal bar end mirrors on there. Have you thought of getting ones with a heavier bar end to help with the vibration?

anyone who's ridden either Street think clubman bars would work? Or would that just toss the ergos too far out of whack?
You would want to move the pegs rearward 50-75 mm to make it comfortable with clubman bars.

We got our handlebars in recently, along with a factory service manual and parts books. Now all we need is one more main component. HA!

I have not decided yet...there are many. I want to buy the handlebar and the mirror from the same seller if possible as it will reduce shipping costs to India. I placed order for one handlebar but they cancelled it, unable to ship to my address.

I am now looking at Flanders 650-04102 drag bar. Would anyone recommend this brand or advise against it?
Will order tonight or tmrw.
