Is it just me or does this street shown in the video actually have a great quality of a paint job??

Something much better than the street 750s that we've seen so far in the reviews and other videos.:(

Repeated look at the video does make me feel like the street 750s exported to other regions definitely have much better paint job.

That looks like denim black.

This is the USA red on a 500

Yea! These bikes that are exported look much better, with more polished finish than all those bikes that we've seen used by the Indian reviewers.

Makes me feel that its only the bikes that are delivered in India which do not have a great paint job finish.

@Guys who have got there bikes delivered in India : Could you make a comparison of the paint job - finish of your bikes and the one shown in the above video?

It is hard to tell from a video but I didn't notice any difference , the clarity of the picture is good but then western nations normally have cleaner air(as in dust free) and maybe the bike is well maintained/polished (some of the later domestic reviews were carried on bikes that had accumulated dirt/grime on the surface - it is easily visible in certain places ).

When I saw the bike in person , I did not find anything wrong with the paint-job though I won't go ahead and advertise it as "miles deep" like they have done on the brochure. It is a very bland paint job in my opinion and one of the first things I will do if/when i get my hands on one is add some accent lines . Also the gloss black headlight fairing looks out of place next to a matte black fuel tank - this is the case both home and abroad.

The bike in the photo is a US model, so it was manufactured in Kansas City, not exported from India.

Oh ok. So its a problem with the production line in India?

@fkystreet : Generally all the bikes that we've seen reviewed so far especially the ones that were manufactured in India have had a paint job finish inferior to the bikes that we see now from the US plant.

@Desert Tortoise & other seniors : Do you also feel the same about the finishing of the paint job ? pls comment

I definitely feel paint job if not miles deep is at least a mile more deep on USA version than one painted in India.

We Indians have always been given inferior quality products than exported ones though exported models sold at a discount in those countries.

Guys,

I was tired of looking at the Street 750 only on the photos and videos so finally decided (also found enough time) to head down to the showroom and guys, i must tell you the STREET looks a whole lot cooler in person than in the pics. :D

I got to compare the paint job of street with the other harley bikes such as Iron 883 and Forty Eight and to my surprise i did not notice any difference in the depth of the paint job. Street had enough depth. As the Iron 883 and Forty Eights are imported from the US plant as CKDs, it would now be safe to assume that the quality of paint job done by the US plant and the India's Bawal plant are of the same level.

Only problem with the paint job of street is that it is a bit uneven in the joints which again is noticeable only if you look at it with keen eyes.

I don't see any difference in the quality of the finish of Indian and US produced Streets. We don't know where the bike in the video was built. The video was French and was obviously filmed there, but the bike could just as easily been a US or Indian produced model brought to France for filming. We don't know it's origin. From the other videos and photos I have seen, and having seen at least one Street in a US dealership, I would not be willing to say Indian market Streets are inferior to any others.

It's good to know that the paint quality is good because I have heard that some of the materials used on the HD Street have been seen as low quality by people. So maybe they shelled out for the paint to cover up some of the less good materials being used.

I'm curious what you have in mind for accent lines, color, area applied to?
