Suggestions to HD before production.

Who knows - maybe people from HD read these forums to get public feedback on the street series before productions starts?

I have a coupe of suggestions for optional accessories, I'm sure others have some ideas as well.

One of my favourite Harleys was the XLCR & the way the street resembles this model played a big part in me putting a deposit down on one so early before release.

I'd like to see a dual instrument kit with separate tachometer, a left & right outlet dual exhaust setup, an XLCR style single seat with cowl & a slightly bigger XLCR style fairing. How about a 70's AMF style XLCR tail light? I'm not personally into rear set type controls but you could offer them for those people that want to go all the way & make a 21st century XLCR lookalike.

Totally agree, the XLCR is one Harley I always liked. Really liked the coffin shaped tank.

If Harley monitors websites like this please take note, this XLCR looks bad as **** in RED...

Love it!!!!!

Red and black goes together so well...
Hey look! A red Harley! And I just wrote in the other thread that I had never seen one before. The bike looks good but something about it doesn't look like a Harley. i think its a combo of the red color and the front fairing.
I'd be in for double sided piping. I doub't theres going to be any changes before production but I'm sure some aftermarket will satisfy all your needs ;)

Always loved double sided piping, but people might argue and say it's better suited to bigger larger CC HD's and not something as small as the Street 500 and Street 750

what does that matter LOL. I really hope some aftermarket company does a nice twisty double sided shorty style pipe. Nice growl, the lower displacement of the Street 500 and 750 should keep the decibels lower than then the 100+ monsters.

Just a matter of time till it happens.
I just hope they give some aftermarket exhaust maker both of the Street 500 and 750 to work on before we get them, just so AF get's a headstart
considering how we are promised such a huge list of accessories I don't think we'll be let down.
Oh for sure and where harley leaves off with the accessories the aftermarket will pick it up from there.

Yup.
I expect to see a wealth of aftermarket parts available world wide. It will be cool to see what becomes available from aftermarket parts makers from around the globe.
affordable Harley?

great styling?

you can bet the aftermarket will go nuts with it
I'm hoping for some forward controls.

Good call on that one. I wouldn't mind the better riding position espcially for the longer rides ;)

I bet Harley is really counting on the aftermarket parts to increase their profits. These bikes don't make nearly as much money for HD as their bigger bikes do. People who buy these bikes will be likely to buy extra parts since they are so much cheaper though.

Harley doesnt make money from the aftermarket parts, they make money from OEM accessories...
it makes sense

the profit margin of the street is probably low

especially since its made in the USA

I wouldn't be surprised to see some of the accessories being made overseas actually. Then there would be even more room for profit.

accessories is where HD makes a lot of money. everywhere you go you'll see something harley branded.

even some partnerships probably got them some extra coin, like this harley davidson edition F-150:
