Wondering what would be the best tires for longevity and performance. Not at all happy with the tires my street rod came with

I am having Dunlop Sportmax Q3+'s installed this week. The new +'s have a high silica center compound in the rear tire makeup. They are saying 20% more tread life. The Q3 was a great tire and the +'s are even better when testers rode bikes back to back with the old and new set's. I have had both the Q3 and now the Q3+'s on my SV1000s and, while subtle on the street, there is a difference in the two. The front tire just gives such good feedback and the carcass offers a smooth ride front and back.

If you are really wanting high mileage and performance you will have to compromise with a sport touring tire.
