Spent Saturday out raising money for Operation Interdependence.
Vintage Bike days comes to downtown Palisade Colorado once per year. Weather was great low 90's and more than 100 bikes rode in to participate.
I put the GS1100GK in the Daily Rider category and managed 20 votes.... so a few remember riding one........ Teaching my Son and his girlfriend how to do things in the catering business. To get a spot you are agreeing to raise money for Operation Interdependence in the form of 10 percent of net back to O.I. Plus I spend bucks at the silent auction.
So Thursday started with Sam's club and prep. Friday is all night smoking the pulled pork, cutting lemons and limes for the refreshment stand. This year Ice Water, Lemonade, and Cherry Limeade.
Saturday Morning the madness always starts with a stop at my friends automated ice selling franchise. He has a few of these units and I like them because they have a 20 pound cooler dump where no bag is needed.
From there it is out to the show and get set up.....
Shortly after set up all the bikes are in place and people start arriving.
Some beauties there this year, just about 100 bikes entered.......
This one interested me as I realized it had no brakes, on a flat tracker... Owner let me know in the mid 1950's that was the rule for racing them, no brakes....
Wish I had taken more pictures.. but it got wildass busy so I ended up helping a lot more than I had planned.
