I'm looking at the Speed and Strength Full Battle Rattle boots. Any thoughts? Im not sure what type of heal cut would be good for this bike. Aggressive like Timberland Pro steal toes? Or more of a flat sole?

I first wore my high top heavy leather steel toe work boots( wolverines), but I had trouble getting under the shifter, so...

I tried my hiking boots.....ummm,.. no, still to thick at the toes.

then, I tried my tactical boots and they worked out much better.

as long as my ankles are covered and I can operate the shifter easily, then i'm go to go.

(I miss my red wing boots that I finally wore out after 10 years, I know those would have worked out really well too.)

I like my Red Wings Iron Rangers, but TBH, they are not real motorcycle boots and don't offer much in the way of protection. I've heard too many stories about the dangers of Steel Toe boots for MC riding (in a crash, the toe cup has been known to amputate all your toes, and if it does get bent, it'll be extremely difficult for the EMS team to remove). I'm thinking of picking up a set of the Rev'It Rodeo boots as they get great reviews, but I'm disappointed that they don't have a Goodyear Welt on the soles.

I had a pair of Teknic boots that I really liked, but the sole began to separate despite excellent tread still on them after several years. Now I wear steel toes since they're required for work.

I have 3 pairs, based on what I am wearing I make my choice

Leather pants and I wear the full johnny reb boots

Kevlar jeans get matched with the ankle boots or TCX XS boots

The full length boots provide the maximum protection, but are really heavy

I don't wear boots. I wear Altama Panamocs. Around $80 pair. But last me at least 2 years. Regular sneakers I destroy in about 6 months to a year. usually around 6 months. My problem is finding a 9W. Sneakers I end up buying a 9 1/2 and Usually end up splitting the sole in two.
