Who has a Street 750?

42092 Views 103 Replies 33 Participants Last post by  smitty901
I have my Street 750, I will post some pictures and video next week. Has anyone else received one?

This is my first Harley. Harley wanted to expand the base, but I am not a young rider. Maybe a bucket list item for old farts is what will happen. I wanted a smoother ride than a traditional Harley. At the dealership they said it was a good starter bike. Point of view was completely different than mine, but they were very good people and took very good care of me.

I plan to have fun with this bike, Going to join the HOG group and expand my circle of friends. Go to the ROT rally in Austin next year.

Congrats on you new 750! I didn't think HD dealerships were selling them this early. You are very lucky. Which dealership did you pick it up? Be sure to post pics and/or videos. Enjoy!
Gruene HD in New Braunfels Tx. It is between Austin and San Antonio. I will post some pictures this week. My son is loaning me his gopro this weekend.
Welcome to the forum!

Looking forward to the exciting footage ;)

Bike looks like it fits you well. Are you planning any mods to it ?

Please give your impressions of the bike. Do you think it looks good. Do your friends think it looks good. How do things like levers, brakes, and shifter feel? Is there anything you are unhappy with ? Hungry for as many details as you can share.
It fits me perfect. My feet are flat with a little to spare, I am 5'6". I have a luggage rack, docking hardware, shop manual, mirror extensions, and oil filter at the dealership waiting for me to pick them up. I am contemplating purchase of a removable windshield but nothing else planned.

The mirrors are not right for me, I do not see how they are right for anyone. I can see my shoulders just fine.

I plan to do service myself, that is why I bought the shop manual and oil filter.

I am learning how to handle the low end torque of the V twin, not like the motorcycles I owned in the past or like the motorcycles in the non-Harley licence training class I just completed.

My first road trip is planned for July 12th to the dealership to pick up my parts and licence plate. They also have rain gear and boots they owe me as a special they offered the weekend I purchased the motorcycle. It is 61 miles away, going to take a scenic route through Texas Hill country with 2 friends. I will comment on levers, brakes and shifter soon. I do plan to adjust the shifter to a higher position to compensate for the thickness of my boots.

Thanks for all the welcomes to the forum.

Well Pat Congrats on the new girly and welcome to the boards, will be interested to hear how she tours! You are our first stateside 750 owner if I'm not mistaken :D
I just got my Street 750 last night. It was a fun hour drive home. I had a blast. It's my first bike and I'm loving it. I had to call half the dealers in Indiana to find one who had a Street. We also ordered my wife a red one. Should have it in August.

pride of ownership, bragging rights :D
Seems like the gender of my bike has been selected, now I need to name her. Need some suggestions. Rhoda has been suggested by a co-worker.
How about- Felicity Shagwell. And quote on registration plate-'Shag Very Well!'

Austin Powers. Yeah Baby..!!!
