Bar End Mirrors, throttle side question.

Hey Guys.

Bar end mirrors on the throttle side, what did you do to get around 1/2 inch( first knuckle on little finger) hollow end of the throttle side grip?

I've seen people suggest moving the controls further inside on the handlebar OR cutting down the throttle side grip to expose the metal stem.
I'm always a little hesitant to CUT/shave down plastics, what did you do when you added them?

All you need longer screw and space from any hardware stores.

I agree with Jasonvo, it is quite similar to what I did for mine. I ended up getting a longer bolt, some rubber washers and a matching nut with correct threading. The nut I welded on to the handlebar to address this problem as it would turn with the throttle. The upside to this, if I move to a different set of bar end mirrors I can use the bolt on that. Also, with this setup if I decide to get new handlebar mounts for the mirrors and flip them upside down I can put new grips on and no one would know that a nut was welded on in there.
